How to Block TikTok on iPhone

TikTok is built for one more swipe. The practical block covers the app, the web workaround, and the exact time window where you usually lose the decision.

Limit the TikTok app

  1. Open Settings > Screen Time.
  2. Tap App Limits, then Add Limit.
  3. Open the Entertainment or Social category and select TikTok.
  4. Choose the allowed time and tap Done.
  5. For bedtime, use Downtime and turn on Block at Downtime.

Block TikTok on the web

  1. Open Settings > Screen Time.
  2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and turn it on.
  3. Open the Web Content setting.
  4. Use Limit Adult Websites or Allowed Websites.
  5. Add tiktok.com to the blocked list if your iOS version offers a Never Allow list.

Use Breakly for short-video loops

TikTok limits fail when they arrive after the habit is already automatic. If you keep extending or ignoring the limit, move the decision earlier.

Breakly schedules the break before your weak spot, blocks TikTok with any other trigger apps, and uses Strict Mode to keep the break active once it starts.

FAQ

Can I block TikTok only at night?

Yes. Use Screen Time Downtime for a scheduled night block, or use Breakly to schedule a forced break that includes TikTok.

Why does my TikTok limit not work?

A soft limit can be easy to extend or ignore. If that is the failure point, use a stricter scheduled block and include browser workarounds.

Make the block enforceable

Use Breakly to schedule a forced break, block the apps that pull you in, and keep essential iPhone apps available.
